Position Summary:

Vista Lawn & Landscapes is seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Irrigation Manager to lead and oversee all irrigation operations. This role is responsible for managing crews, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining system efficiency, and upholding all state and local irrigation regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering excellent service and developing a strong team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all irrigation installation, service, and repair operations
• Supervise, train, and develop irrigation technicians and crew members
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Texas irrigation laws and licensing requirements
• Design, install, troubleshoot, and optimize irrigation systems for efficiency and water conservation
• Diagnose and repair system issues including valves, controllers, wiring, leaks, and drainage concerns
• Program and maintain irrigation controllers, including smart irrigation systems
• Conduct system audits and inspections to ensure proper performance and client satisfaction
• Schedule and coordinate daily routes, service calls, and project timelines
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding system performance, recommendations, and repairs
• Maintain accurate records of services, materials, and system updates
• Manage inventory of irrigation parts, tools, and supplies
• Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and company standards
• Sell and develop irrigation services for the company.
• Create, present, and follow up on proposals for irrigation services.

Qualifications:

• Current Texas Licensed Irrigator (required)
• 3–5+ years of irrigation experience in installation and maintenance
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, hydraulics, and water conservation practices
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and blueprints
• Experience with smart irrigation technology and controllers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and use of tools and equipment
