THE ROLEWe are seeking a dynamic and adaptable HR Generalist to join our team and own the entire employee lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR leader to build and refine processes that will directly contribute to our growth and success.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Full-Cycle Talent AcquisitionRapid Response Hiring: Own the end-to-end recruitment process. Building a "bench" of reliable installers and assembly talent to ensure zero downtime.Technical Sourcing: Headhunt high-level design and architectural talent, focusing on portfolio quality and cultural contribution.Brand Ownership: Position the companies premier employers in Norton Shores and Royal Oak to attract top-tier local talent.Employee Relations & Performance ManagementProactive HR: Proactively address employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies and facilitating conflict resolution with a human-centric approach.System Design: Develop and implement a robust performance management framework tailored to two distinct environmentsKPI Tracking: Work with department leads to define "what success looks like" for every role, ensuring clear accountability from day one.Performance Coaching: Lead the "PIP" (Performance Improvement Plan) process and coach managers on how to deliver candid, constructive feedback that drives results.Incentive Programs: Design and manage bonus or recognition structures that align employee behavior with company growth goals.Training: Actively seeking training programs to bOperational HR & ComplianceTotal Employee Lifecycle: Own everything from the initial offer letter to the final exit interview.Benefit & Payroll Leadership: Independently manage all aspects of payroll processing, benefits administration, and PTO tracking for both entities.Legal & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with Michigan labor laws and OSHA standards, particularly regarding the new assembly and inventory workflowsQUALIFICATIONSComfortable managing a "split" workforce. You can talk shop with an assembly crew and vision with an architect.You are a self-starter who can manage the needs of two companies across two locations without daily oversight.Ability and willingness to travel between Norton Shores and Royal Oak as needed (quarterly or more often as required). A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required.Knowledge of MIOSHADemonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruiting, benefits administration, and complex employee relations.Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion.High emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills.Proficiency in excel and direct experience with Gusto is a plus.A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
