About Grassroots Team Grassroots Team is working to bring people together to support the world’s most effective advocacy organizations. We work on behalf of amazing organizations like Greenpeace USA - bringing people together to support their missions of making the world a better place. Responsibilities Spring Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Friday and Saturday hours may start earlier) Canvass in teams in designated public areas to fundraise for NGOs Engage with people and provide information about partner campaigns Explain benefits and answer questions Collect contact information for follow-up Attend team meetings and provide feedback on community responses Maintain accurate records of all interactions Qualifications Meaningful role working on behalf of nonprofits for social and environmental justice Experience engaging people in conversation in the community (experience not required) Exciting opportunities to advance rapidly in a growing organization Extensive daily training program at all levels Weekly team social opportunities You do not need experience in canvassing or fundraising. You will be walking through communities and neighborhoods every day talking to people and engaging them on serious issues and inspiring them to become part of the movement. You must be comfortable fundraising door-to-door in neighborhoods, going up and down hills and stairs multiple times a day in all types of weather year round. Additionally, you must be comfortable standing on your feet at community events, coffee shops, and other public gathering spaces. You will be raising money, support, and memberships for some of the best nonprofit groups in the world today.
