Are you passionate about sharing the vibrant culture and history of Boston with others? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Customer Service Representatives at the Visitor Information Center at Boston Common .

This is a fantastic opportunity for high school graduates, retirees, college students home for the summer, or anyone seeking a rewarding part-time job. Become an integral part of our committed team dedicated to providing exceptional support and guidance to visitors exploring our wonderful city!

These are seasonal, part-time positions, requiring 15 to 25 hours per week, including some weekend and holiday shifts. Our Visitor Center operates from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm every day during the Spring and Summer season.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Greeting visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor to ensure a positive experience.
• Keeping the work environment neat and organized.
• Staying up-to-date on local events, Meet Boston membership, and programs.
• Providing creative suggestions on activities and attractions in the city.
• Restocking current literature and merchandise in the center.
• Assisting with the sale of local attraction and tour tickets.
• Providing guests with assistance and selling relevant merchandise.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the Boston/Cambridge area is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Prior experience in retail or point of sale is preferred, though not required.
• Experience in concierge services or tourism centers is beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Availability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Must be willing to wear a uniform (we provide a Meet Boston shirt) and consent to a background check.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday.
• Occasionally moving boxes or merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.
