Overview V.O.K. Protective Services, Inc. is a legally registered corporation in the state of Florida engaged in the provision of private security and investigations services, established in 1998. We have been providing said services for over twenty two (22) years to a diverse clientele, offering competitive rates and reliable service with the goal of producing a secure environment. Job Skills / Requirements Position Summary In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Homeland Security - (DHS) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Your duty as a security officer performing safeguard services under CBP form I-259, issued by said entity, is to accompany a cruise line crew member under safeguard until they have departed to a foreign country. These crew members have had a C1/D Visa, when entering the country, making it legal for them to work overseas. When they resign and/or are terminated or suspended, they have forfeited said visa. Therefore, their only legal means to stay in the country is with the security officer that accompanied them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities When performing these services, each security officer is responsible for the crewmember that was assigned to him/her.
Security officers must be within ten feet of the crewmember and must not leave them alone at any time. The security officer must escort the crewmember EVERYWHERE. Courtesy is encouraged. The crewmembers are under supervision to ensure their departure from the U.S. under the rules and regulations of the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Documentation & Reporting - Review and ensure accurate completion of incident reports, timesheets, logs, and required documentation.
- Submit reports to management in a timely and professional manner.
- Officers must adhere to company and regulatory reporting standards.
Minimum Qualifications - Bilingual in English and Spanish (it's a Plus)
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Security, or law enforcement training/or experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- U.S. citizen or legal resident alien.
- Active Florida Security Officer License Class D required; (Class G - It's a plus).
- Strong knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and DHS/CBP escort requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively-verbally and in writing.
- Professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct at all times.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedure.
- To write all the necessary incident reports.
- Maintain appropriate security licenses.
- Make independent good judgment decisions within proper policy or procedure.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment - Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in extreme temperatures (heat or cold).
- Frequent walking, standing, observing, speaking, and listening.
- Ability to walk for extended periods and stand for long durations.
- Must be able to respond quickly and remain attentive at all times.

Certification Requirements (All) Florida Security Officer D-License
