Job Description

Title: Retailer Compliance Representative Hiring Range: $52,708.00 - $63,000.00 Agency: Virginia Lottery Location: Central, Richmond and Tidewater Region Responsibilities Obtain proper compliance survey documentation and approvals, as required by Lottery policy and procedures. Re-inspect retailer locations after cited deficiencies have been addressed. Accurately document survey results and findings using an automated reporting tool and submit to HQ in a timely manner. Educate retailers on program requirements. Initiate and maintain professional and knowledgeable exchanges with retailers and other Lottery staff regarding compliance issues. Keep the Manager informed on an ongoing basis regarding activities, progress toward performance goals, recurring concerns, or questions. Accurately process accessibility surveys in the CRM database. Communicate safety issues to ensure a safe and healthy workplace and reduce work‑related accidents. Assist and promote the growth of new retailers by surveying new licenses for accessibility. Assist in maintaining the agency’s current retailer base. Test, innovate, and expand new technology and use of iPad in the Retailer Accessibility Program. Qualifications Minimum five years’ experience in a Customer Service business environment. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft 365 mobile applications and use of tablets. Minimum three years’ experience working with mobile applications and mobile equipment. At least two years’ experience integrating routing tools (e.g., GPS, maps) into daily work. Working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act compliance measurements. Effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and listening skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and integrate routing tools into daily workload. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive material. High degree of Customer Service skills and excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, research, problem‑solving, and time management. Additional Considerations Previous lottery experience is preferred. Bilingual/language skills preferred. Special Instructions Must complete background investigation. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required. Extensive workday travel required within the assigned geographical territory. Frequent overnight travel and irregular work schedules required. Geographic territory includes Stafford County/Fredericksburg/Northern Neck, Richmond region, South Hill/Emporia, Hampton Roads/Tidewater, and the Eastern Shore. Must reside in VA and be willing to live within 50 miles of the assigned geographic area’s business center. Telework eligible. Position will work from a home office and will be provided a state vehicle. Required in‑person work at the Richmond HQ office (based on workload or by request from management).
