Our property blends old New Orleans charm, comfort, and attention to detail—and we’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help us keep it that way. Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and functionality of the hotel and bar facilities. This role requires a proactive, hands-on individual who can troubleshoot issues quickly and ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guest rooms, bar areas, and common spaces Address plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool equipment, and general repair needs Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they escalate Respond promptly to maintenance requests Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations Assist with renovations, painting, and aesthetic upkeep Coordinate with external contractors when necessary Qualifications: Previous maintenance experience (hotel, hospitality, or bar setting preferred) Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed Good communication and a customer-service mindset Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable standing, bending, climbing ladders, and performing manual tasks What We Offer: Competitive pay based on experience Employee discounts at the hotel and bar Night call bonus opportunities Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $18 - $25 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
